Hi everyone!
I started university recently so now I live in Bologna🎉 (It's pretty chill here tho)
Some of you may not know that Bologna is full of places where you can eat. There are many bars, restourants, taverns, and piadinerie.
I, as a food lover, tried to visit different places (but many are still left omg)
So if you are planning to visit this beautiful city here are some places in which you can eat well:
First of all there are the piadinerie (piadina is the tipical emilia-romagna's food), to be honest I visited only two places:
-Romagnantica is a pretty good place, the staff is nice, you can sit outside and the piadina is very big and good;
-Piadeina is near Torre degli Asinelli, the staff is nice, you can sit inside and outside and the piadina is delicious, you can choose different base (classic, thin, thick), the products they use are very good, there are different kinds of "flavour" (here they use romagna tipical cheese: the squacquerone)
Then there is Toast@Bo, we ate there only one time but the toast was delicious! They do also smoothies, desserts, salads, and vegan toasts.
We also went to "America graffiti". This place is gold. It is 50s style (has red lights in it!) and does hamburger (real big), tacos, burritos, american desserts like milkshake with cream on top, it has also the menu for vegan and vegetarians! I'm in love tbh
I took a cheeseburger (fries are included, can you believe it?):
There is also a very famous place: Zoo. Here u can eat bagels, hamburgers, vegan burgers, desserts, sandwiches, they also do salads, juices and side dishes. On Saturdays and Sundays there is the menu brunch that is very affordable. It's always full so I recommend to book before you go there.
Then there are the bars (so many), I don't go often to them, but I went to one near my house called "Officina della lana": very cozy and characteristic (they sell wool inside!), the staff is nice and sociable, the desserts are really good and they do a very good cappuccino. Like every other bar in Bologna it isn't only just a bar but also a place where u can have lunch, dinner and of course appetizer.
There is another bar right in Piazza Maggiore, it is called "Caffè Vittorio Emanuele". I took a chocolate muffin, it was DELICIOUS,. The waiter was also very nice (I love kindness). You can sit outside and watch a beautiful view (the full piazza and the church). It is also quite cheap.
There are also a lot or bakeries!✨
I went to one in Strada Maggiore called "Nonna Vincenza", It's quite famous and they sell ice cream too!. I took a pistachio cake 😋:
The other bakery (but also café) I went is in Via Ugo Bassi and it's called "Gamberini". The waiter was very polite and the cakes were so beautiful!
I took a mini cheesecake with custard and a (giant) strawberry 🍓on top:
These are only few of the amazing places I saw, I will let you know the others 😉
